• Most come to Sarangkot via Pokhara.  
• Pokhara can be reached by air or overland from Kathmandu by coach, or microbus. On a clear day it is an excellent flight. Greenline coach is also highly recommended if you want  a smooth ride and a nice lunch stop..

At 1592 meters Sarangkot valley ridge village is located 1000 meters higher than the Pokhara metropolis.   It therefore has an almost 360 degree radius of views of the Himalayas towards Tibet, the hilly region towards India, and Pokhara city below.

The journey from Pokhara up to Sarangkot is 7-Kilometers by sealed and stone road, 5km by trekking pathway or a combination of both. 

Once you reach Sarangkot top it is clear that it is the highest point on the Pokhara Valley rim with views across the country. 

Sarangkot has city standard electricity, the best clean mountain spring water supply, the internet and guest houses with good kitchens.   

In Sarangkot the produce is traditionally grown clean organic vegetable rice, grain dairy and some local Himalayan meat.  Farming is widespread. This is supplemented by items bought up from the Pokhara marketplace.  

Sarangkot can be a 5-star trekkers wilderness base for singles couples or groups. 

Touchdown on the Himalaya, or touchdown and take off again if you want.

Nepal is a materially basic nation.  That Nepalis can offer such comfort and hospitality to travellers across the nation on these  steep mountains is a credit to Nepalese spirit and culture.   They are the ones who open up this beautiful part of planet earth to everyone who wants to come.
