If you have a few days in the Sarangkot-Pokhara region, it is a good idea to glide early in your stay so that if you want to repeat the experience or for different weather you have time to do so.  There are several grades of flight available here providing for graduated flying. 

Sunrise Paragliding was the first to break through with a Himalayan paragliding operation in the Annapurna.   Five years latter such is the excitement over the quality of paragliding here that there are now five new organisations developing operations at other local sites in a rapidly expanding paragliding take off.    

Sunrise Paragliding has an edge in that they established the industry here.    It took very many years of negotiation and planning before they could open their doors. To some extent Paragliding is always subject to the weather.  From Sarangkot most weather is suitable for Paragliding and even in cloudy weather it is a rewarding experience.  This is largely  due to the powerful diversity, mammoth scale, and strong living culture of the landscape.    In this location any weather patterns are quite exhilarating. 

Thankfully, in the Sarangkot part of the  Annapurna Himalaya, clear sunshine filled days are plentiful for up to  months per year.  Then there are the exceptional days, where visibility is crystal clear for as far as the eye can see.  Those are are astounding.   Crystal clear vision days come in almost all seasons. *
